Soccer Expert Chris Sutton Battles Artist Olly Murs in Top Flight Predictions

The Gunners' 10-game victorious streak was ended by Sunderland prior to the international hiatus, however will the English top division frontrunners bounce back against north London rivals Tottenham this weekend?

"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this game," stated soccer expert Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side typically still manage to win."

The analyst is making predictions for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, against artificial intelligence, fans and a variety of guests.

For the twelfth round, he faces singer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United fan.

Murs' latest record, Knees Up, is out on Friday.

Football and Parenting Experiences

Olly is a talented soccer player as well as a accomplished artist and has been a featured player of multiple charity football matches down the years - but he is not intending a serious comeback as a player.

"{I actually played in a benefit match the other night for a friend of mine," he explained. "The team was losing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want!

"I still love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it still hasn't fully recovered. I hope I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my career to do it properly again.

"Plus I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my daughter or son chooses to play instead."

Murs and his spouse Amelia Tank have a young family, their daughter and their son, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their coach.

"I won't push football on our children but I've already told my wife that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will probably be coaching their Saturday football team," he added.

"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I really got into it, and I clearly owned a football club for a period too.

"My dad did it with us when I was a kid, which is probably where I get it from. He managed our team for two or three seasons and had great fun with it. That could be the future for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Top Division Forecasts

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues may have to be patient for Cole Palmer's comeback from injury but their offense is already stronger with Pedro and Liam Delap both returned to fitness.

I still think this game will be quite tight, however. The Clarets are disciplined and their sole at Turf Moor losses so far have been against Liverpool and Arsenal.

It suggests a one-all tie to me, but I am actually going to go with the London side to edge it for what would be their third consecutive Premier League win in a row.

Sutton's prediction: 1-2

The singer's prediction: The Blues will be superior. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have lost their past two games - albeit both of them were on the road - but they got thoroughly beaten by Aston Villa last time out which surprised me.

On the other hand, the Hammers secured back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they do look competitive again.

West Ham's sole away win this season came at Forest in the summer, when their manager Nuno was previously that team's coach.

Therefore, what on earth do I go with here - can West Ham extending their streak under Nuno, or Bournemouth responding?

I am going to go with the Cherries, because I think what happened against Villa was a anomaly.

Sutton's forecast: 2-0

The guest's outlook: The home team are performing strongly but West Ham have picked up under their boss. 2-2

AI's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were considered one of the frontrunners for the drop before the campaign started, but they have surprised a few observers under their manager and are in good form with three wins in their past four games.

My son told me to select Bees forward Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks back and, guess what, I ignored the advice.

The forward will probably find the net again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to select him or support Brentford at Brighton's ground.

The Bees have not had great success on the travel this term, and the Seagulls are always decent at their stadium. Brentford will try to hit them on the break but I think the home manager's team carry much more of a danger.

The analyst's forecast: 2-1

The singer's prediction: This could be one of those games where you think there is going to be a many goals but it in reality proves to be quite close. 1-1

The computer's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a massive fixture for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their last six matches.

They have have lots of quality in their team but it nonetheless feels like they could be dragged into a drop zone fight.

As for Sunderland, well they are the unexpected success of the top flight campaign so far.

Their performance in the 2-2 tie with Arsenal last time out was superb. We've not seen any other team rough up the North London side like that this season, and Sunderland were fully competitive for them.

The sensible thing would be to support the visitors here, because they are clearly able of roughing Fulham up too and, the previous occasion they were in this part of London, they defeated the Blues at the close of last month.

But I am not do that. Rather, I truly need to carry on going against the away team with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their positive outcomes because they clearly love to prove me wrong.

Looking at the home side's home form, the sole team they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Their manager's team will be extremely eager for a positive outcome, so I am going to say they will secure three points.

The expert's forecast: 1-0

The guest's prediction: I'm aware Sunderland are performing strongly and additionally that the hosts are on a poor run... but they have nonetheless been respectable at home this campaign. 2-0

The algorithm's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a hard fixture to call. Liverpool have suffered seven of their past 10 matches in all competitions, but could they be one of the sides who benefit from the {international break|
