Passionate supporters of the actress are demanding that a individual who breached a fence and grabbed the performer during yesterday's Wicked: For Good launch be detained or expelled from Singapore.

A widely shared clip shows the Australian man shoving aside media personnel and rushing toward Grande while the performers made its way down a yellow carpet accompanied by supporters.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo quickly wrested the surprised performer away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being escorted out of the premiere by guards.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "released after being detained", though official papers revealed that he was due to be present on the following morning. It is unknown if he was charged.

Pattern of Disruptions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Controversial Figure", has crashed a performance. His Instagram account contains videos of him disrupting other star-studded functions, including jumping on stage at the artist's Sydney show in earlier this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last year.

"There needs to be action applied against him as this is evidently a legal violation," wrote an Instagram commenter, in a reply to a video Mr Wen shared of his act.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" one Instagram user remarked.

Supporters Show Disapproval Over Grande's Well-being

Numerous followers accused Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had revealed experiencing PTSD after a terrorist explosion at the finale of her 2017 performance in Manchester, killing 22 people and harming numerous individuals.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" commented another message on Instagram.

Several attendees also questioned security officers at the Thursday event for not being sufficiently alert; while different individuals called for online networks to remove Mr Wen's uploads.

Reaction and Premiere Information

In clips circulating online, Grande seemed shocked when she was grabbed by the individual. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed comforting her while Mr Wen was led out by staff.

Grande has not commented on the event, and the rest of the event proceeded as normal.

Fans at Wicked premiere
Hundreds of Singapore supporters had queued up to see the actors of Wicked

Many of fans had assembled in a mass of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good regional premiere in a Singapore shopping center, including several who had waited for as long as eight hours before it started.

The film, to be released on November 21, is the follow-up of a two-film adaptation of the acclaimed Broadway and West End production Wicked, which revolves around the unlikely bond between two distinct characters.

The show itself is a adaptation of the twentieth-century children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was adorned in a light pink sequin dress at the gathering while Erivo, who acts as the villainous character, wore a black tube gown featuring roses.

They were alongside co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the highest-grossing film of the previous year in the UK, and earned a dozen Academy Award nods, securing a pair for best costume and production design.
